Manual Points and Spans Dialog
Used to define the paths of a non-GIS design. This dialog lets you specify the tap point(s) of a design, the number of work points, and the length of the intervening spans. Use this dialog to create the work locations for an offline or template design.

Tap At | Specifies the work point where the new path will join the existing network when the design is converted to a GIS design. A tap point is indicated by a "T" symbol in the Design Workspace. Four tapping options are available: No Tap Point ( first point of path will be placed on existing structure in GIS; used for designs that do not require connectivity); Initial Tap Point ( first point of path placed on existing conductor or main, second point placed on existing structure attached to tap conductor or main); Final Tap Point (last point placed on existing conductor or main, next-to-last point placed on existing structure attached to tap conductor or main); Both Tap Points (first and last points placed on existing conductors or mains, second and next-to-last points placed on existing structures attached to those feeders. Initial Tap Point is the most commonly used tapping option. |
